Personal Care That Respects Your Independence

Everyone deserves to receive personal support with dignity, privacy and respect.

At Camden Care, our support workers can assist with personal activities while encouraging you to maintain as much independence and choice as possible.

Your support is tailored to your individual needs, routines and preferences.

How We Can Assist

Depending on your needs and NDIS funding, personal care support may include assistance with:

  • showering and bathing

  • dressing and undressing

  • grooming and personal hygiene

  • toileting

  • mobility and transfers

  • getting in and out of bed

  • eating and drinking

  • morning and evening routines

  • assistance with personal activities

  • preparing for appointments or community activities

  • other disability-related daily personal activities.

Your Routine. Your Choice.

Personal care is highly individual.

Before services commence, we work with you to understand exactly how you want your support provided.

This can include:

  • preferred routines

  • communication requirements

  • cultural considerations

  • privacy preferences

  • gender preferences for workers where possible

  • mobility requirements

  • assistive equipment

  • relevant health and safety information.

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

Building Independence

Where appropriate, our workers can support you to develop or maintain everyday living skills rather than simply completing every task for you.

The goal is to provide the level of assistance you need while supporting your independence and confidence.

Consistent Support Workers

Having different people constantly entering your home can be disruptive.

Where possible, we aim to create a consistent team of workers who understand:

  • your routine

  • how you communicate

  • your preferences

  • your support requirements

  • what is important to you.
